A BP Original. Crimp depths often vary from load to load, even to a point where it is difficult to produce a proper fold crimp. This makes roll crimps ideal for shell lengths of almost any size. A compromised crimp can severely disrupt the entire combustion process, thus diminishing performance or even causing a blooper.
Performance: Shotshell load performance can vary shell to shell because components such as slugs, buckshot, and full-length field wads, by their nature, are not flexible platforms. Roll crimps adjust to the load (instead of the load adjusting to the crimp) and the ballistic results demonstrate more consistent & sustained combustion. Ultimately, a more consistent propellant burn yields more consistent performance.
Note: Beware of cheap knock-off roll crimpers that will produce insufficient crimp quality, erratic loads, and bloopers. We've been machining our specialty roll crimpers for over 35 years. Many specialty ammunition manufacturers rely on BP quality roll crimpers for their high-performance loads. So don't waste your hard-earned money on a cheap copy. Go with BPI's original Roll Crimper and save yourself frustration and wasted loads.

The Original Roll Crimper works great. | 5/25/2021
This Original Roll Crimper works great. Its easy to use and makes great crimps. Theres no learning curve with it. I just chucked it into my drill press, set it at 250 rpm and turned out some great looking slug loads. I recently purchased the GAEP deep roll crimper and crushed a lot of hulls with it. Very disappointed. Ill just keep using this Original roll crimper.

easy & awesome! | 6/3/2018
I load mainly 12ga Buckshot. I cant believe how perfect the results are using this. I use it in a drill press at 440rpm slowest my drillpress will go. Was turning out great looking shells right off the bat! ...But dont forget to get a hull vice.

Nice finished product | 2/2/2018
I am used to fold crimps but I dont always like the end result. I tried these roll crimps and with a little practice I am starting to produce very pleasing finished shells in 10 and 12 gauge. I use a drill press at the slowest speed possible, 240 RPM, and have gotten the feel for the correct time and pressure. You need to be careful though not to keep it on too long as it will melt the hull. Only issue that I have is the lack of nice clear plastic or printed Overshot cards for anything other than 12 gauge. Come on BPI make more gauges!

BP Roll Crimper | 11/8/2017
I purchased this roll crimper for some of my hunting loads that are very hard to get a good fold crimp. I suggest reading the info on using a roll crimper and practice on some junk hulls first. Took me a few times to get the hang of it before I tried it on new hulls. Im very impressed with the results of what this crimper can do! no more fold crimps for my buckshot loads either!

The Roll Crimper Saved the Day! | 8/25/2017
With an inexpensive OS card, this tool makes perfect shells. I was sooooo frustrated trying to get good, consistent fold crimps. It was not happening. The shells looked poor, I wasted components read: money$$$, and did not enjoy what I was doing. The Roll Crimper changed that. Sure, it takes a little longer to do a box but so what? I put the tool on my drill press, warm it up a little with a heat gun, and Im in business. Does great with slugs too. I am totally sold on this wonder.

Handy tool | 3/29/2016 | |
Ive only used this on new hulls but it works great when I roll crimp my slug reloads. Mix this with the hull vise and a drill, it makes reloading slugs quick and easy. If I knew it was this easy I would have made my own slugs years ago

roll crimp | 11/17/2012 | |
OK even crimped shells sometimes dont stay crimped - know what I mean? by lightly running this over crimped shells they are 100% crimped and sealed and stay that way. Use a drill press and light pressure.
