SSW Short Shell Wad 12ga (250/bag)
The SSW is a short wad with a compact cushion section. It is great for short-chamber loads and for high capacity loads in longer shotshells.
With the right loads, fine shotguns can pack a punch. We have great loads for short-length cartridges (2-1/4" and 2-1/2") using common hulls and powders. We have designed certain loads with the SSW that operate with low pressures and low recoil for fine old guns (and fine old shooters).

Works perfectly for shortened hulls | 6/12/2023 |
| I roll crimp many hulls and wanted to find a way to reload hulls with similar performance to my standard 2-3/4 inch shells using CS12 wads. I know I can use the conical hull conditioner but that doesnt work as well as rolling a somewhat virgin edge. What I am finding is that once fired Fiocchi, Cheddite or RIO hulls that I roll crimp can be trimmed to 2-1/2 inch and use the same load in that hull with the SSW wad and get the same performance as the longer hulls. It works for me. | ||

| Love these wads!I use them for making little 2 and 2.25 shells with roll crimps. Less recoil and perfect for new shooters. The shells just look less intimidating. I cut down hulls that are near the end of their useful life, and then toss them after they are fired. Very useful wads. | ||
