HELARCO WADS

The Curmudgeon is very excited about Helarco wads. Like all other handloaders, the Curmudgeon is always concerned about value and performance. He warmly agrees with Helarco’s very gentle tug upon his purse strings. As for quality, Helarco’s distinctive honeycomb-mesh cushion system demonstrates a very distinctive, high quality molding technique and top-notch materials. All of these factors contribute to amazing shot-to-shot consistency in the ballistic lab.

Helarco has been a big player in European shotshells for decades. These wads are now made in America and are available only at BPI. The wide array of Helarco wads extends through BPI’s vast data range: lead shot, steel, ITX and other non-toxic pellets.  Helarco wads cover the gamut for both target and field.  Current gauges offered are 20, 16, 12 & 10.  The first shipments are now arriving at BP. 

For months the lab has been pounding out series of tests. As mentioned, the lads in white are excited over the continuity (shot-to-shot) of electronically measured speeds and pressures. The full story will be unfolding in coming months.  New clays loads are at the ready now for your sporting clays, trap and skeet requirements.
