    Description:

Our lab calls the BP2090 "The Tank" because it is the sturdiest 20ga wad we've tested. Thick-walled wad which was designed originally for 3/4-ounce steel shot loads. It has proven itself to be a very versatile Multi-Metal load for many different non-toxic pellet types and loads.  The large internal capacity of this wad and highly protective wad petals make it a great field performer with steel and SpheroTungsten shot.

The BP2090 is unslit. It must be slit prior to loading with at least 2-3 slits and approximately 80% of the total length of the wad.  The BP2090 can handle a wide range of pellet materials, including lead, steel, bismuth, and SpheroTungsten. Failure to slit the wad will produce a potentially dangerous slug-type load that will not release the shot.

Capacity: The BP2090 holds a maximum of 600 grains (about 1.4 ounces) of SpheroTungsten-15 shot or 750 grains (1.7 oz.) of SpheroTungsten-18.

Data: The BP2090 "Tank" is NOT the same wad as the PT2090. Therefore, all new loading data is being produced for the BP2090. It is molded out of new TPS material made right here in the USA. Different materials mean different load results. Do NOT use load data that was originally tested for the PT2090.

THIN MYLAR: The BP2090 is a sturdy wad designed for non-toxic loads. However, tungsten and steel shotshell pellets can escape the wad through wad slits or simply through the chaos of a controlled explosion within the shotgun's bore.  As an insurance policy to reduce the chances of barrel damage due to abrasive pellets, we highly recommend the use of Thin Mylar wraps inside the shotcup. Thin Mylar could be the difference between an unscathed bore and one with scoring. Thin Mylar may be added to any of our tested loads.

NOTE: No wad can completely eliminate the risk of scoring or abrasion. Pellet materials harder than your gun's barrel can still cause damage. Follow only tested and published load data. READ AND UNDERSTAND A RELEVANT LOADING MANUAL BEFORE YOU START TO LOAD.

    great 20 ga. wad 9/29/2023
I have used this wad in a variety of 20 ga. 2 3/4 Federal hulls. I have loaded 3/4 OZ TSS Using Longshot. No scrub through. I have loaded 7/8-1-1 1/8 oz. TSS using Steel Powder. 115 #4 Pellets of HW 13 shot and just 1/4 cork wad great with LilGun. Patterns are close to 100% using Light Modified or Modified chokes with TSS and around 90% or higher with HW 13. Im a man of over a thousand patterns
