BPI has obtained a rare production run of Cheddite hulls with 8mm plated heads. We rarely see this color combination and the result is stunning. The plating on the head produces high-quality silvery appearance which contrasts with the deep red color of these special-production hulls.
The loads in this brochure were carefully selected by the staff in our ballistic lab. They are among some of the lab's current favorites, pet loads, as some might say. Of course, all our Cheddite 12ga 2-3/4" loads will work in these hulls.
Crimping: We prefer using a Super Crown Crimp Starter on hulls with new tubes. This is because new tubes require a little extra crimp memory in order to fold efficiently and tightly. Another great option is to roll crimp your loads with a BPI Roll Crimper and Hull Vise. Roll crimps also work very well on these hulls.
Shipping: Hulls are not regulated under 49CFR Special Provision 50. This means there is NO Hazmat charge when shipped by U.S. ground service.
Primer: These hulls come primed with a Cheddite 209 primer (Cheddite CX2000).
