Fiocchi 12ga 2-3/4" Golden Pheasant 1-3/8oz Nickel Plated (bx/25)
These are the loads to choose when the weather turns snotty with high winds and cold. Under those conditions, average loads (and average hunters) become useless. One normal days, the ultra high velocity will still be a huge advantage for running and far-flushing birds.
Choose a shot size that best suits your conditions: the more wind and the more range the larger pellet you will want.
#6s are ideal for most conditions even approaching normal while the #4s are the only way to go under more extreme conditions with big birds, sparse cover and long range. We recommend that you have some of each size because as we all know, weather changes rapidly on the prairie.

Great shells but hard primers! | 9/20/2022 |
My buddy bought a bunch of these. They’re not cheap, but you get what you pay for. We were doing a European pheasant hunt and we both had MC 312 shotguns. I had dropped a heavier spring behind the hammer and mine would shoot anything. His misfired 1/3 of the time with these shells. After 20 minutes I said: “trade shells!“ His gun shot my Federal‘s and Winchester‘s without complaint. My gun shot the Fiocchis Like a Swiss watch. Shells function flawlessly and the pheasants drop dead at long range. I am really pleased with the shells. Now my buddy’s gun shoots them perfectly too after I dropped a heavier main/hammer spring in his gun. Some of these Russian, Brazilian and Turkish shotguns will have trouble with these harder primers. Put in a heavier hammer spring! All of my American, Italian, and German made shotgun shoot them without complaint. Very good patterns and good velocity. If it wasn’t for the primers I’d give it five stars! | ||
