BACKGROUND AND HISTORY:
The shotshell industry of Northern Italy is likely the oldest in the world. With the founding of major gun manufacturers, such as Beretta in 1526, cottage industry businesses sprang up around these areas. Gunsmiths, toolmakers, and ammunition specialists of all types helped to fuel innovation and invention. Like Italian cuisine, art, and architecture, ammunition and toolmaking are powered by passion and innovation. We are proud to be GAEP's appointed distributor of their fine loading products for North America. Our line of GAEP products will continue to grow and expand.
GAEP is an artisan manufacturer. Each tool requires painstaking hand-made precision. Our goal is to maintain a regular stock of as many of their products as possible. However, the logistics of their artisan production and the reality of importation from Italy means that we will have stock gaps from time to time. The best way to assure your order fulfillment is to place an order or back order. You order will not be charged until your product ships to you.

Very Usable Printer | 6/1/2023 |
While the other review is fairly negative, I bought mine direct from GAEP before BPI started carrying this item. The support through BPI could use a little improvement but overall, this tool is easy to use and somewhat self-explanatory in operation. One thing I found was to be careful not to put too much ink in the reservoir area or it will cause smears. I have all 6 common US gauges and have used it to print both loaded shells and unloaded hulls. I even worked with GAEP to get a special sheet made to incorporate more typical USA information. I would be happy to show you what they set up for me and I hope BPI would start carrying that particular sheet. There are YouTube videos showing the set-up and operation of this printer. The printed instructions arent super detailed but again its somewhat self-explanatory to set up and operate.

Shell printer disappointment | 10/26/2022 |
This printer is not cheap and comes with no instructions or video on setup and use. A website video is available to show it being used After it was setup off camera. It comes with only one font sheet with no perforations to cut and align the type. You are on your own to make a usable type plate so this unit can function. You could make a simple version of this at home if you have a rubber stamp made- which they don’t supply. THIS IS NOT A GET & PRINT UNIT! Hard to get replacement type mats - it would be best to have a custom type face made by a stamp company for this unit to function professionally. Not US made, no US support.
