Detailed Description

GAEP V-S 850/4 12ga Plus Loading System

The GAEP V-S 850/4 Plus offers four different adjustable stations that perform highly specific closing and crimping tasks, similar to that of commercial manufacturing plant. The results are truly amazing. Machined tempered steel and aluminum make up this loading system. You can load anything from 63mm (2-1/2") to 89mm (3-1/2").

The V-S 850 Press Includes:

  • Station 1:  6 pt. Star Crimp Starter
  • Station 2:  Coniatore (Doming) Tool
  • Station 3:  Ribassatore (Lowering) Tool
  • Station 4:  BN2 Star Crimp Finisher

* It is recommended that you apply a small amount of oil from the manual oiler (next to the drilling motor) to the case edge before moving the cartridge to the final crimp station.

This is not a "reloader" in the traditional sense of American reloaders. The stock version of this loading system is mainly designed to load new/primed cartridge casings - and it does a beautiful job of that task. However, the stations are all adjustable and can be adapted for your once-fired hulls, too. You will need a separate priming tool and resizing tool to acccomplish those separate tasks. The GAEP loading system is designed to be your personalized loading factory or a micro-production tool for custom factory ammo loads.

Comes complete with cartridge closing height adjustment index with millimeter side table.

* IMPORTANT NOTE ON RPM: GAEP crimp heads are optimized for operation at 1100 RPM, which is the standard speed for their motors. Many hand drills and some drill presses do not reach this rotational speed. If you experience crimping issues with GAEP products, the first step is to verify that you are operating at the correct speed.

Available gauges: 12ga

BACKGROUND AND HISTORY:

The shotshell industry of Northern Italy is likely the oldest in the world. With the founding of major gun manufacturers, such as Beretta in 1526, cottage industry businesses sprang up around these areas. Gunsmiths, toolmakers, and ammunition specialists of all types helped to fuel innovation and invention. Like Italian cuisine, art, and architecture, ammunition and toolmaking are powered by passion and innovation. We are proud to be GAEP's appointed distributor of their fine loading products for North America. Our line of GAEP products will continue to grow and expand.

GAEP is an artisan manufacturer. Each tool requires painstaking hand-made precision. Our goal is to maintain a regular stock of as many of their products as possible. However, the logistics of their artisan production and the reality of importation from Italy means that we will have stock gaps from time to time. The best way to assure your order fulfillment is to place an order or back order. You order will not be charged until your product ships to you.

CAUTION: MACHINE WILL BECOME HOT TO THE TOUCH IF LEFT RUNNING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.
