Detailed Description

Lee Deluxe Perfect Powder Measure

No powder measure, regardless of price, has all the features of the Lee Deluxe Powder Measure. Pictured mounted to Powder Measure Stand, may also be mounted to any reloading press accepting 7/8-14 threads.

Rugged Construction

This powder measure features a high pressure die cast diamond-machined body. The precision-machined rotor drum is cast from brass, which is naturally antistatic and spark proof.

Eliminates Cut Powder and Jerky Action

A soft elastomer wiper strikes off the metering chamber rather than cut the powder. You’ll be surprised at how smoothly the rotor operates. More importantly, you will enjoy the most uniform of charges.

Easy to Set and Read Micrometer Metering Chamber

Powder charge adjustment is accomplished with a true micrometer adjustable metering chamber. The metering chamber is aluminum with a black anodized finish. Features a crisp, permanent, laser engraved scale. The brass micrometer thimble is engraved with .01cc graduations and has a releasable detent lock. With most rifle powders each click is about a 1/10 of a grain, perfect for working up a load.

Changing Powder is Fast and Easy

Features easily removable hopper with an on/off valve so you can quickly return unused powder to its original container or switch to another type. The hopper feeds to a pre-measuring chamber allowing precise charges regardless of the powder level in the hopper, eliminates the need for an extra powder baffle.

Quick Change Drums

One of the nicest features is the ability to use the new Lee standard quick-change drums. These low cost drums can be preset to your favorite charge and swapped out in seconds.

Just Doesnt Measure Up 11/29/2018
The good: made of materials which will not corrode, the shut-off feature of the funnel. Both of these features are on the Perfect Powder measure. The Deluxe has the same faults and new ones: -the drop tube is far too short to mount on most presses. One shouldn?t have to buy an overpriced flimsy special stand for a powder measure, and if it is necessary, it should come with the measure. -The Lee system of using a elastomeric plastic wiper just doesn?t work. The friction required to prevent spilling with fine ball powders like WIN 296 results in a difficult handle stroke. Furthermore, the wiper is slightly proud of the rotor it must be to work and these fine powders will find there way between the drum and the rotor, so with every stroke, a random number of particles of powder will find their way through to the drop tube. This can result in an overcharge. With WIN 296 up to 0.3 grains of this extra powder could come through this way. To completely prevent this the force needed to move the handle would likely break it, and it is long past being awkward. Lees remedy of cleaning beneath the wiper and pressing it down tightly it failed to correct this issue. The micrometer graduations are down to tenths, but it can be .3-4 grains difference with each adjustment interval with fine dense powders like WIN 296. There is considerable backlash in the micrometer, too. One needs to go past the desired point and then return to it for consistency. I am left to conclude the micrometer adjustment is pure marketing hype. The tube is far too large to deliver that kind of accuracy. A simple threaded plunger like the Perfect powder measure and others and would be fine. The rotor is brass. The drum is die cast pot metal. It would probably be a good powder measure if the drum was made of precisely machined brass that fit the rotor well enough that the plastic wiper would be unnecessary, but that would cost more...like measures from Hornady, RCBS, Redding, and Lyman.
