Description:
The MG42 has a wide ranging number of practical load uses including steel, and lead. The cushion section allows the loader to adjust the wad height to accommodate various load capabilities. Used for upland lead, steel shot target loads, and steel field loads. The MG42 features two molded slits for hunting patterns.
TECH NOTE:
When using this wad and loading on a MEC 12ga press, consider purchasing and installing the MEC 16ga Rammer Tube – p/n 130505B-16. This will eliminate the wad sticking as is encountered with the standard 12ga Rammer Tube. Use of the 16ga Rammer Tube with non-toxic shot may cause some jamming in the tube which would require some gentle taps to the side of the tube upon extraction from the hull.

| If not for YouTube, I wouldnt know a thing about most of the items that Ive bought from Ballistic Products. These MG42 hulls are AWESOME. The shot cup is just deep enough for 14 #1 buckshot pellets, 7 Rows of 2. No overcrowding or hull bulging. They especially work well in the Cheddite clear hulls that I also received two BP orders ago, along with clear overshot cards and #1 Super Buck. My sexy load: Cheddite+primer hull Magic dust 20 gr. white overshot card MG42 wad 14 pellets of #1 Buckshot 1⅛ oz 14p = 1.26 oz Clear overshot card Roll crimp The roll crimp is an even ⅛ inch and touches the clear overshot card 360°. The shot column is stable and level. They finish tiddy and rattle free. This clear load is honestly chefs kiss beautiful. AND I MADE IT MYSELF, YALL! America! HOOOYAAAH! | ||

| I’ve been trying to nail down a great patterning buckshot load for months and months. I got Buckshot Bliss with this wad and home cast #0 buckshot from a Lee 18 cavity mold. Ten pellets of size 0 weighed 480 grains and I used 1-1/8 ounce data with buffer. MEC 26 bushing and Hodgdon Longshot powder. Super tight patterns! Seriously No exaggeration! I wanted to use more pellets and larger pellets but patterns were not good. This is it! | ||

| Tried full length wads etc…..this wad works from 2 3/4 all the way to 3 1/2. I should have just stuck w this. I’ll save you the trouble, this wad is super versital and you’ll be in love | ||

| Love these wads. Just to pass on some information, a 1/8” 28 gauge cork wad fits perfectly in the bottom of this wad. Gotta give it a little push under the tabs on the bottom with the back end of a pen, but they fit perfectly. | ||

| Couldnt find a 1.25 oz of #1 bismuth load so I order these and x12 gas seal dropping this in fed 3 hull, 209a, and longshot using 111116-3532 advantages manual data was range finding snows today and shot 1 down from 110 yards with this load. | ||

| Ive been trying a good number of wads in my 00 buckshot loads. With the MG42 and BPI Original buffer I am getting fist sized patterns at 25 yards. Best buckshot wad out there. | ||

| This is the best hunting wad in my opinion. I use it in all my Buckshot loads in 3 Remington Hulls paired with HS6 and 18 NP #1 Buck. My pattern is tight even at extended ranges of 60 yards with a Kicks Buck Kicker. also works well with my upland load and 1oz steel loads in Gold Medal Grand Hulls | ||
